I am finding that I gravitate towards getting books for baby showers now, especially since having my own little. I think everyone always focuses on clothing for new babies. True, they need to be clothed, BUT I think it is possible to get too much clothing. Books last a lifetime (or more). And they’re great for bonding and learning with your little.
But, they can be a little redundant for parents. When it is just a simple picture book, it is kind of hard to act enthused about ‘reading’. I’ve compiled a list for you to make it a little easier to choose which books are more tolerable than others.
Dr Suess is a favorite in our house, but there are a few other standbys that we have as well. So, here’s our list:
1) Just in Case You Ever Wonder by Max Lucado
2) Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown
3) Dr. Suess ABC by Dr Suess
4) If You Give…. (series) by Laura Numeroff
